Meeting Minutes October 27th

Greetings good gentles,
It is my pleasure to remind you of the upcoming general meeting and Yule social planned for Sunday at the Tonasket Visitors & Business Resource Center at 215 S. Whitcomb Avenue.
It will also be our first May Crown Meeting. Jullila will be making a special trip here to attend, and as our ambitious autocrat, update us on her work and recruit us for many of the slots still to fill in accomplishing this task a mere 6 months from now. I have been in touch with her recently and marvel at what she has done while we were not looking, and how much we will have to do to complete preparations for a successful May Crown.
It is most important as many as possible turn out for the meeting, if you cannot attend but are willing to have your name on a task, please contact me, or her, in advance. Last winter we all agreed to host a Crown, the bid has been awarded and we are all needed to make it happen. No one is too inexperienced to contribute and learn and everyone has skills to offer.
Jullila will be traveling from Vulcanfelt that day, but felt a 2pm arrival time to be doable.
I will be open the center at 1:00 for set up, we can start the meeting at 1:30 to discuss Red Lantern before Jullila arrives.
Come in garb, bring a potluck dish to serve ten, and plan on an afternoon of social activity combined with planning a our winter event and a major Kingdom event.

In the words of Ian, "Nice people are nice". On an off chance I asked Vicki Leon, the author of the uppity women series, if I could excerpt stories from her books for the Creakings. She wrote me back almost immediately and said she had attended many an SCA event and Ren faire in California. She said she was happy to give us permission as long as I exposed more people to her works! If you haven't read her books (and she has many) then you are missing out.
