Dregate shire meeting Annual Hour of Anarchy

The Champions Tourney was discussed. In general everyone felt that it had gone well. Some improvement on feast set up was suggested, and date changes to avoid conflicts could help.(this year we were subject to Rodeo scheduling). Dalbach asked people how they felt about adding a Defenders tourney on a regular basis as we used to do. It was done spontaneously this year when guests showed up with armor. After some conversation it was acknowledged that more time needs to be devoted to the topic and it was tabled for now. Dalbach asked that everyone reflect on how they feel about this topic so it can be discussed at next months meeting for decision.

Shire Regalia was moved to a new storage unit and seems to be a good price (35$/month) for what we are storing. There is a need for shelving to help organize items to facilitate inventory and set up a check in and check out system.. Ihon and Dalbach have volunteered to do this. Lachlan and Thorhalla have shelving that they have offered for this need It was suggested that over a period of a couple of years we would pay for a stand alone shed on that could be kept on someone’s property.

Dalbach asked the next seneschal to set next year’s calendar by January so the planning can take place without time crunches.

He also suggested more public relations to garner interest from the community. Several ideas were offered, like Christmas sharing trees, a play at the community center, relay for life, a booth at the county faire and don’t forget the one-on-one conversation with co-workers, neighbors, friends and relatives.

 Dalbach announced the format for next years A&S Championship will be to create a tool that is appropriate for your persona. More details on website.

Lachlan took the Key of Seneschal and reminded people that he knows each member of the populace has unique talents to offer and he will be calling upon people to share those talents, officer or not.

The November/ December calendar was set as follows:

 Nov 4th and 18th- Bayou Tapestry Project 6:30 at Carrick Manor in Omak

November 7th  Fighter Practice time and location TBA

November 12th  financial meeting 7pm at Campbell manor, Crumbacher

November 21st Arts and Science project, Warlords keep, Tonasket, Time TBA

Equestrian meeting immediately afterward.

November 22nd Sunday Fighter Practice

December 6th- Nov/Dec meeting Yule gathering Tonasket 2pm

Nora will find a location; Dalbach will gather recipes and make them available to those who wish to use them.

The Ren Faire in Cranehaven was discussed, date next April. The Art of War has been scheduled for the same weekend, but it was agreed there are still enough people committed to do the kitchen at the Ren Faire. Dubeassa and Dalbach will head up the Kitchen Crew. Many hands will be needed to run the kitchen, and put up and take down the great wall. It is speculated that this will be a significant fund raiser so please consider volunteering any time you can to help out! It will put funds in our general coffer towards events we sponsor and other shire needs.

 Largess for two sets of Royals was discussed. Ideas abound and all are encouraged to contribute to the gifts. The November A&S workshop will be geared towards this.

 Discussion about bids was brought up for a 2011 crown event especially after our great experience at the Rodeo Grounds. It will be left on the agenda for next meeting when we discuss the 2010 calendar.
